The Shepherds' Institute
The Shepherds’ Institute was established as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation in order to advance the cause of shepherding in the local church. The Institute was established by Dr. Tim Witmer in 2000 when he saw the desperate need to help church leaders understand their biblical role and responsibilities as shepherds of God’s flock. For the past 15 years he has conducted dozens of workshops. The most recent publication of Dr. Witmer is The Shepherd Leader (P&R).
